The real bonus to having a husband that's a cake decorator is that you know your birthday cake will always be memorable. Needless to say, my wife is a coffee fanatic. This is a butter pecan cake with mocha buttercream icing. In the big Starbuck's mug the "coffee" is chocolate fondant. The small cups are butter pecan cupcakes wrapped in fondant with mocha buttercream "coffee", fondant flowers and buttercream vines. All the "whip cream" is buttercream icing. Unfortunately, as you will see my cake settled a little and the bottom of the logo kind of got pushed under the cake. Not really sure why this happened.
