Ice Cream Melting


This is another one of my (first) cake competition cakes. (I did two) I wanted to do something fun and since I had just done one of these cakes, this seemed like a good idea. I just tilted the top scoop to look like it was falling off. I used a 90 degree pvc angle to achieve this look and attached it to the pvc pipe that is the center of the structure. I spooned on small bits of very runny royal icing, to achieve the melting look. Cherry is made out of fondant and whipped cream is made out of royal icing. Cake board is done with individual squares of fondant. Very time consuming!! Cake is 30" tall. TFL
