I was asked to do a baseball themed birthday cake for a little boy who was turning eight. This is a replica of his hat that he wore for his little league team. The ball was rkt covered in fondant, for the cake board I layed out the field in appropriate colored fondant then covered the brown parts with brown sugar (stuck down with a little bit of water) and made grass out of buttercream with a frosting tip.
