Treetop Tinkerbell Cake

This was a cake I made for my daughters 3rd Birthday. I got the idea from the 2009 Wilton Yearbook. The bottom is a 14" 2-layer chocolate cake with a chocolate bavarian cream filling. The frosting is a frosting made with flour, milk, sugar, vanilla and butter. The top is an 8in round and a 1/2 sports ball pan in chocolate with a cherry filling. I used the stiff wilton buttercream on this one so that the fondant leaves would adhere. Leaves and flowers are made from the buttercream fondant reciped found here on this site. Tree trunk is a 1 1/4" dowel rod covered in fondant.
