I forgot to mention... Inside are layers of more chocolate and seedless raspberry. The cake is dark chocolate and very dense. It was probably the best tasting chocolate cake I've ever made. There is a HUGE difference between the chocolate frosting in the tubs at the store and chocolate ganache made with real chocolate and heavy cream. It is SO much better.

Also, it is in 'Barefoot Contessa Parties' cookbook. I kind of revised it and made it my own by adding the raspberry and chocolate layers. Hers is the simple cake and ganache recipe for a single 8 inch cake but I made multiple recipes to make a bigger cake.

What an appetizing looking cake, simple as that, you just have to have a piece even if you are dieting. And truly that is what it is all about!
