This is a giraffe cake, 34 inches high, that I created for a friends's gathering to honor her. She wanted to work at the giraffe sanctuary in Palm Desert when she retired but sadly passed away recently. A plaque (edible, replicated on the cake) will be installed in her honor at the sanctuary. No one wanted to cut into it at the event, and luckily I made some other less fancy cakes to be eaten. Her husband and son and daughter took the giraffe home to "just look at for a few days".
