The Lonely Doll
I made this cake as a request by a good friend of mine for her 46th birthday. We both enjoyed the Lonely Doll series of books as children. Deep, dark chocolate cake with vanilla almond buttercream and an edible image doll picture. I had alot of fun making the pink and white "gingham" checks for the background. This was the same pattern the doll wore in the books.
