How lovely to have my cake featured in the nautical sailing cakes category. I seldom receive any comments on my cakes, this one included. So was quite surprised and honored to have this one featured. Thank you.
I love the coral...how did you make it?
Melted white chocolate in a piping bag with a #12 round piping tip. Wilton's white sugar non pariels (spelling) Ice cubes or crushed ice.
Use a large bowl and fill with ice cubes or large crushed ice. Pipe melted white chocolate in random pattern over ice. Immediately sprinkle the chocolate with the white sugar non Parieels. You need to work quickly because the chocolate sets so fast. Let the icemelt a bit to release the chocolate coral. Lift off and set on paper towels to drain any moisture before placing on fondant or buttercream iced cake.
Thank You! I am going to try this for a cake I'm planning :)
You are welcome. Be sure and post a picture of your cake.
