I made this for a 16 year olds Birthday. It was inspired by the "Papparazzi" and "Poker Face" videos. It is a three tiered double chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. I covered each layer in almond flavored marshmallow fondant. The appliques are all fondant. I used crushed rock candy for the crystals on the sunglases. the spikes on the top are modeling chocolate. I painted on fondant for the first time when I did the swirls for the top layer. Loved that, will be doing that a lot more in the future! Loved how the cake turned out even if it was not exactly my style. All of the kids at the party loved it and were quite funny when they saw it for the first time. Makes all the work worthwhile!
