I made this cake for my grandmother. I used the curtains in her living room as inspiration for the design on the bottom layer of cake. Everyone recognized it but her! I guess when you look at something for 50 years you just don't see it anymore. She loved the cake. I just wish my gumpaste numbers had hardened. I made them 3 days ahead of time and they still weren't dried enough to stand up.
