I made this cake for a baby shower. This was the 3rd cake I had made. The bottom tier was red velvet, covered in fondant. Tier 2 and 3 were vanilla covered in vanilla buttercream with fondant decorations. I had a hard time using the colored fondant so I decided as a last ditch effort, to tint the buttercream and cover the cake that way. The bow on top was a DISASTER. It was too sticky and I didn't let it dry long enough before I place it on the cake.
