These are some pirate themed birthday cupcakes I made for my son's 6th birthday to take to school. I didn't want to mix any serious food coloring into my buttercream because I figured most of it would end up all over the kids at school and their parents wouldn't be thrilled. Instead, I used some of that food coloring spray and just highlighted the buttercream with red spray.
