I made this cake for my dad's 70th birthday. He was born in the year of the dragon. This is my take on the Korean dragon. The scrollwork on the sides is taken from a cake in the Wilton 2011 yearbook. I sculpted the dragon out of fondant. I made the scales by imprinting semi-circles using a tip 12. I dusted the whole thing with gold lustre dust to give it some shine. I think it cake out really well!
