A little over a year ago, a friend of mine lost her toddler to a tragic drowning. She is expecting a little girl in the next few weeks. It has been a special time for the community we live in. There have been several baby showers and everyone has celebrated new life with this family. I am thankful I was able to chip in and give the cake as a gift. The mother to be is a charter boat captain and that is why there is a fish on the front of the cake. Bottom tier: 9" white cake with chocolate buttercream icing.
