Cutting this was a cake disaster! The fondant on the top of the bottom layer was such a gooey mess! I was totally embarrassed! Lost about 5 servings to crumbs! I needed to put a dolop of icing on it to hold the top layers, but it seemed to create a reel :< mess Everyone still loved the cake and my efforts.
