Sweet Sweet 16
This is a sweet 16 cake I made this summer. The striped layer was made by adding the black fondant stripes first, then airbrushing the lime and turquoise individually. I chose to do it this way because the birthday girl wanted the top ribbon to be black. The raised black stripes evened out the visual "weight" of the black top ribbon and helped the monogram on the middle and the stars on the bottom layer pop, so to speak!
