I used something similar to mylar, I think it was that florist clear plastic sheeting you find wrapped around bouquets at the supermarket. I made it by just melting the chocolate and the letting it set and the quickly wrapping it around the cake. One thing I would change in the future is maybe adding a couple of teaspoons of corn syrup to the chclate to keep it pliable. When we tried to cut this cake the collar was so hard we had to break it off. So I think the corn syrup would soften the chocolate a tad.
