July 4Th Fondant Cake
the cake inside is a layer of red velvet a layer of white cake and a layer of blueberry coloured cake. I had problems with the Uncle Sam as he was too heavy.
I found directions how tomake this cake online so thankyou to whoever that was!
This is so much fun, and so different! Very innovative, great job!
Beautiful job! ;-D If you want your figures lighter maybe you could use aluminum foil as the core of the body, arms and legs like I do for my clay figures.

This is very well done! Maybe you could try hollowing him out some next time with a toothpick or something so that he isn't solid gumpaste or fondant. I know that is probably not as easy as it sounds, but might make him less difficult. Or, you might be able to put a long dowel or straw in middle of cake and run it up part way through him (if thin enough) to help support his extra weight. Still awesome!
If you hadn't mentioned that you were having trouble with his weight, I wouldn't have known! He looks like he's falling into the cake, but it looks intentional! :) Great job!
