Thanks to a lot of people on CC for the inspiration on this cake. I painted the center tier to look like penmanship paper, then hand wrote the message with coloring and a little vanilla. The pencil says the name of my son's school, and the other two bottom borders are gumballs. All other decorations are fondant.
