This cake was made with 3-12" layers, and one 10" square that I cut into fourths and stacked two of them together to make the castle. All decorations are fondant gumpaste. I did use wire inside of Mario for added support. The castle cake is covered in fondant and then the walls are put into place with royal icing. This is my second Super Mario cake. The first one had a Luigi on top and a yellow Yoshi (see my picts). I made it for the same family, the older brother wanted the exact cake, but with Mario and Green Yoshi! TFL!!
