The cake was covered in homemade marshmallow fondant and the dolphins were all made out of fondant as well. The cake was a Lemon Supreme Cake.

In order to make the waves, I colored the fondant into a few different shades of blue. Then, I cut out wave "strips" and tried to layer them on top of one another until they were "wave-like." I know, so many official words in this post :) It was so cute to see how happy she was with the surprise dolphin cake. The kids went straight for the dolphins on the side of the cake and were on a sugar high for the rest of the night!
