Bouquet Of Roses

Made this cake for a friend's Mom's Bday. I used 8" round pans this time (usually use 6") but I thought it might travel better if it was shorter & chubbier. I had a hard time getting the roses around the edge to stay put because they were pretty heavy. In the end I told her to put saran wrap around the outside edge to hold them in place for the hour plus drive and it worked. Roses are 50/50 gumpaste & fondant. I made 104 of them, but only used about 95 of them on the actual cake. Stems & leaves are fondant. Ribbon & Raffia are real. Thank you for looking!
