This woman called and told me the colors at the woman's birthday were pink and yellow. I asked her to clarify what kind of pink...hot pink or medium pink or soft pink etc...

She wanted a soft to medium pink. I suggested the pink roses with a yellow tip and she thought that sounded lovely and thanked me for suggesting it. When she came to pick it up she hated the cake, said in a very loud voice that it was GAUDY, didn't want 'all that color', didn't want to wait while we re-did it with white roses so there was no color (now she claims there is red dye allergies in some of the guests) and didn't want to come back to get it when it was done. Other than pulling one out of our butts I'm not sure what this lady wanted. So the day manager grabbed an iced cake from another order and used it. Presented it to the lady who had by now gotten her husband inside the store. She hated the new cake....He hated the cake. The front girls showed him my original cake. He hated it. They both did, however, prefer how I made my roses over how the day manager made her roses and wondered why they couldn't be like that on the new cake. Day manager told them for the hurry they were in to get the cake, you just aren't going to get spectacular decoration. They paid for the new cake and went on their way. I think they just wanted a free cake and were not going to be happy with anything.
