Baby Blocks Baby Shower Cake

learned a lot from this cake. but it wasn't as difficult as I thought - just time consuming. and heavy! Done in all buttercream except for rattle decoration (separate photo) in fondant

Did you get the faces from a baby invitation? I just did a baby block cake last weekend with BCT's of faces from the invite.

I think I got the idea from you cakemommy! LOL I found a photo in the gallery of baby faces on blocks, but I didn't have any other pattern. I just used a circle cookie cutter to make an impression in the cake and then filled it in with stars using a 16 tip. The facial features were freehand

Well I love it! I can see now with a closer look that you used a star tip. Great job!!!!!
