I did this cake for my daughter's fourth Birthday - she adores Hello Kitty! At that time, it was kind of hard to find much to go by when planning a Hello Kitty cake, but luckily I found someone who had fashioned one out of two eight inch round cakes, so I gave it a try and this was the result! All the decorations were buttercream except for the whiskers - those were just black licorice sticks cut to size!
