Pink Castle Cake

The cake part is a 10 inch square. The rest of the decorations which are the gold topped turrets were made by wrapping a rectangular piece of gumpaste around a PBC or 2.5 to 3 inch diameter plastic plumbing pipe, letting it dry, removing it, then filling the center of it with almost room temperature rice krispy treats. the gold top of the turret was made by wrapping an ice cream cone with fondant strips, letting that dry, then painting with gold luster dust mixed with lemon extract. After that, I attached the gold top to the pink bottom with royal icing. I also made another turret using a drinking glass for the bottom of the turret but the same steps.
