First attempt at making a castle. Didn't want to use a kit. Made everything myself. The walls were made with fondant on top of flexible plastic so they are reuseable. The towers are made from PVC tubing which I sanded down and then covered in fondant. The embossing of the bricks was a candy mold like the ones for that I cut off the edges and just press down and rolled the roller over it to get the impression. The top of the tower is an ice cream cone and the shingles are round cuts of fondant. Bottom layer is 14" square yellow cake w/ guava filling and the top is 9" square marble cake w/ strawberry filling and I added thin slices of fresh strawberries. This was a challenge for me but I think it came out good.
