I recently made this 'Cat in The Hat' cake a for Hen Party with a 'famous cat' theme. Both the head and the hat are made from layers of vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam, the hat alone has 7 layers of sponge inside and the finished cake measured approximately 18 inches from base to the top of the hat.
