This cake was done for a wedding celebration after the couple eloped. It was a small gathering, but I wanted them to have a keepsake cake. The couple's grandchilren have severe food allergies, so the cake is entirely egg-, nut-, and dairy-free. The fondant (covering cake and roses) is homemade marshmallow fondant. The butterflies are Wilton cookie icing that was allowed to set for several days on wax paper. It was still a little softer than I was used to, but meringue powder was out of the question.
