This was fun. A child requested aircraft carrier cake. Fondant covered ship. Top is flooded royal icing. Worked well, but might try chocolate next time. Island is rice krispy covered in fondant. Gumpaste airplanes. Due to a slight inward carving of ship sides, gravity worked its magic overnight and fondant was falling away from sides. Next time, I might try using piping gel to glue fondant on inward slope.
