This was a birthday cake for a 17 year old boy who loves and plays basketball. The "court" was butter cake with raspberry cream filling and the "basketball" was chocolate sour cream with buttercream filling and icing. The floor was made of fondant with color not completely mixed in to create the hardwood look. The basketball is covered in fondant with fondant stripes and name. I texturized the ball with a # 3 tip. I wasn't completely satisfied with the cake and there are things I would do differently next time.
