This was a vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream. Covering the ball with fondant was very tricky. I ended up "grouting" the seams in fondant with watered down fondant. Not perfect but it worked ok and the finish on the ball covered up some of it problems. Two of the moons are made from cake balls covered in chocolate and the small ones are made from fondant.
