Mi Amor Sweets Logo Cake

Mi Amor Sweets Logo Cake on Cake Central

This was a free cake I gave away with a royal icing Mi Amor Sweets logo on top. In response to someone's question about the logo, here's what I did: "I forget what the technique is called, but I taped a paper copy of my logo onto a flat piece of cardboard and then taped wax paper on top. Then I traced the outline with a medium consistency of royal icing with a very small round piping tip. After letting the outline dry for 10 minutes. I filled in the logo with a runny consistency of royal icing. A way to make sure you have the right consistency is to spoon a little bit of it, drop it back in the container, and then count to 10. The royal icing on the spoon should be blended back into the rest of it without any marks. You can fill it in a disposable piping back and snip the tip of the bag. So, anyways, you fill in your outline. Make sure it's totally dry and then use a very think spatula or knife to remove it from the wax paper. You can used colored royal icing or go back and handpaint white royal icing with gel coloring and vanilla or lemon extract."
