I was asked by my client to create a cake for her daughter's 12th birthday. Her daughter is an aspiring singer, and wants to be a star when she grows up. She suggested the microphone and stars, and this is what I came up with. 9" chocolate, filled with ganache and chocolate buttercream. Cake first covered with ganache and then with fondant. Microphone is gumpaste painted with silver lustre dust, and the other decorations are fondant dusted with lustre and sprinkled with edible glitter. Thanks for looking.
