This is the first time ever in my ten years of cake decorating that I had trouble keeping a cake cold enough for transport. Even with air conditioning, the icing began to slide during the 20 minute drive to the country club where the reception was being held. Repairs had to be made, the photos taken and then it was whisked off to the fridge until it was time to cut the cake. Included are some photos of the areas that needed repair. If you look closely, you can see the icing slippage below the ribbon.
