My son wanted a Converse shoe for his 13th birthday cake. I am not thrilled with the outcome but it's ok. I was attempting to make it to scale but didn't think about how big it would "grow" when I added the icing and fondant. Should have cut the cake smaller than scale so it wouldn't look so fat. Decorations are all MMF and buttercream. I free-hand drew the logo on pieces of fondant with edible marker for the side and back of the shoe. The cake is sitting on top of a real shoe box for display purposes.
