I have seen this cake done on cake central before and I just had to try it for a birthday party. This is two 8 inch layer cakes torted and frosted in buttercream, then cut up to fit in the oval dish. I then covered the cake in a thin layer of ivory (Wilton) tinted fondant, and then covered it again with more fondant prepared with a pasta machine. The sauce is pureed strawberries, melted chocolate and orange and yellow food coloring. Meatballs are german chocolate cake balls and cheese is unsweetened coconut.
