This didn't come out how I wanted. I should have used fondant for the flexibility, the gumpaste spikes on the sides weren't straight so there lots of gaps. Also, I should have put them on as soon as I finished frosting the cake. The crusted buttercream cracked when I put them on and couldn't push them into the cake as much as I wanted. Oh well.... it was still a hit.
