Wanted to challenge myself to see if I was able to complete this cake. I just started decorating cakes about a month ago. This was also a fun cake. I found the templet for the shoe on cake central, it is made out of gumpaste and fondant. Realized after I made it why no one puts a back on the shoe!! That area needs improvement. The tissue is made on gumpaste, which was colored pink. I am not sure if you can see the details on the stripes, but I used a rolling mat to imprint some ivy vines on the wider stripes. Also used wooden dowls to hold up the top of the shoe box. That is the only non-edible part of the cake.
