My son's birthday confetti cake with chocolate cake volcano. The checked flag, road and figures are make of fondant. The grass and volcano are buttercream. The lava is pudding. the figures are glazed with corn syrup and flood coloring. Mario and Luigi were toys my boys had in their toy box. I had a really great time making this cake and even better time when my son had to take mario for a couple of laps before he let anyone cut the cake! :)
