3 tiered, the 4th tier is a dummy to support the wires. The bulging on the bottom tier made me want to cry. I think my fatal flaws were 1. cutting the dowels too short, 2. the cake is a heavy pound cake and the filling and crumb coating is a cream cheese frosting which was not stiff enough.
