For my daughter's 1st birthday. She LOVES animals, so I just had to make this cake for her. I didn't actually do the barnyard themed party, so that is why I did the dog and cat instead of the duck. I knew she would like those animals more and she did! It's an apple cinnamon cake with brown sugar swiss merigue buttercream...very rich, but SUPER yummy! Covered in mmf. Animals on top, flowers, "1", banner, letters, loops and squiggles made of gumpaste. Animal faces made of fondant. Sugar pearl flower centers. 8" bottom tier and 6" top tier. Thank you so much to everyone who has made a version of this cake! I looked at all of your cakes and they inspired me. Thank you especially to "kello" for your beautiful and perfect rendition of the barnyard 1st birthday theme cake! It was so helpful to see the back of your cake, too.
