This cake was sculpted to resemble a 28 pound lobster that my father cooked several years ago. The cake is a bit smaller than the real lobster, measuring about 32" long. Mounted on top of the lobster is a small sugar (fondant) figure of my father holding claw crushers. The lobster is holding a "jello" glass of whiskey on the rocks (my father's favorite drink). Behind the lobster are "sand mounds" created to hold the 80 candles that my brother insisted on.
