This is the in-laws version of the large cupcake "A boy's favorite things". This one was a chocolate cake (durable cake recipe from this site) with chocolate buttercream filling and frosting, fondant top, fondant with gum paste figures. Sadly, in this variation my boy resembles a 40-year old man, not my 4-year-old son.
