My first shoe cake I made my own shoe mold with a real pair of shoes, and it only cost me $15.00 for the shoes (payless) cheaper than buying the shoe molds for $89.00 and I can reuse it I cut the sides off one shoe and used it to hold the soul of the shoe. (I left the heal on for the slope) I ripped the heal off the other shoe and used it to made a mold. I used a combo of gumpaste and fondant and molded the heal and cut the soul, I let it dryed for a few days I also used the combo of fondant and gumpaste for the sides and top of the cake, I cut and dryed flat on a wooden board then all I had to do is stand the sides up and add the stripes Thanks for the cc members for their inspiration Thanks for looking :)
