The characters and toys on the board are made from fondant and gumtex. The lid to the treasure chest is fondant. The cake is iced with buttercream. Real toys are inside the treasure chest cake. When the kids visit our house I have a treasure chest and when they leave to go home they get a toy. I made a cake look-a-like treasure chest for my 1 year old cousin's birthday. It was good fun!
