I made this cake for a friend who's Dad and Brother served and her son is in the Junior Marines program. First attempt with fondant on a whole cake so I was pretty pleased overall. Fondant covers mistakes well LOL. It is a 2 layer 9 inch Hershey's collector cake recipe I found here (Thank you great recipe) filled and iced with Chocolate hazelnut buttercream. Covered in MMF. Insignia is candy molds (after a bad attempt at tempering white chocolate) painted with gold luster dust. Doesn't show up well but the stars on the side have pixie dust glitter on them.
