My fiance wanted to cook out for his birthday this year so I made him a coleman grill cake. The cake is a devil's food chocolate box cake with chocolate fudge in between the layers and on the sides. the "charcoal" is mini marshmallows coated in cocoa powder and sprinkled with powdered sugar for the coal look. I used grey piping icing for the grates. The patties were made with a muffin top baking pan, then i just used oranged bc for the cheese letting it drip a little down the sides to look melted.
