White Chocolate Wedding Cake

This was the very first wedding cake I made for someone else. The first wedding cake i *ever* made was for my own wedding. This cake has white chocolate paste roses, plus white chocolate rolls. It was an absolute nightmare to make. It served 500 coffee serves, it was 6 tiers, massive!! 2 x 14 inch base, 2 x 10 inch center 2 x 6 inch top. Also had some very small silver silk flowers in between the roses.

Well i considered it a 6 tier cake because it had 6 cakes in it. This is how i've seen other similar cakes described in Australia. Sorry!!

I LOVE the chocolate sticks. I've never been asked to do one that way, but they seem very popular in Australia & Great Britain. I wish I could get an order. By the way, are the sticks about 6" tall? To have them cover two cakes high, they must be bigger than they appear in the photo? GORGEOUS!!

Those chocolate rolls must have been a nightmare...or can you buy them like that?? Beautiful cake!!

antonia74 Says... 9 years ago

you can buy packs of them premade...milk, dark or white chocolate. Some are even striped and swirly!

another stunner

I wish I had bought the sticks. I made them with the same paste I made the roses. If you look closely you can see this as they are all uneven. The sticks were about 20cm high.
