Another Lightning McQueen Cars cake! I took several ideas from the CC website and kinda put them together. And I apologize, but I can't remember who, but there were three of you! And might I add that this was a very labor intensive cake to decorate!!!! Thanks for looking.

This is a fabulous cake. You can see all the work that has gone into it but it sure was worth it! ;-D

This looks so great! I am in the process of doing a NASCAR cake with the black and white checks on the side. How did you do yours? I made a zillion square royal icing transfers. It was a ton of work, so I can definitely appreciate what you've done here! Next time I think I'll try fondant squares.

Thanks to you all for looking. Keep in mind the design ideas came from other CC members! The checker board was made with 1" square pieces of fondant. Since the base was a 2-layer 9x13, it was pretty easy to place the squares on symetrically. Also, I cut these squares and immediately placed them on the cake (no drying time). It made it much easier to attach! Good luck with your NASCAR cake TheCookieCuttery . . . please be sure to post!

Very nice cake.I made one without the fondant because of the kids not liking the fondant taste.I picked up some tips from looking at yours.I have to make this once again for my godson. It has to be a similar one to what I have posted here on CC.
